Diploma in Accounting & Business: The Diploma consists of three papers: Accountant in Business; Management Accounting; and Financial Accounting. You also need to take the online ethics module, Foundations in Professionalism. Completing the Diploma enables you to move up to Fundamentals level or the Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) Qualification, with exemptions from the first three exams.


F1: Accountant in Business Understand how businesses operate effectively, efficiently and ethically and the critical role finance professionals play in achieving this. This course will help you understand business in the context of its environment, including economic, legal and regulatory influences on such aspects as governance, employment, health and safety, data protection and security.

F3: Financial Accounting. Learn the underlying principles and concepts of financial accounting, accounting techniques and the preparation of basic financial statements. 


The course will allow you to demonstrate technical proficiency in the use of double-entry techniques, including the preparation and interpretation of basic financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, companies and simple groups of companies.

  1. To start at Fundamentals level you need a relevant secondary school education covering five separate subjects, which must include English and maths.
